How to Find Us


85/101 Sankey Street, Warrington, WA1 1SR

 

By Rail
North-South. Get off the train at Warrington Bank Quay – turn left outside the station and walk 100 yards past a Dunelm store to a cross roads with traffic lights. Turn right into Sankey Street and the Gateway is another 100 yards or so on your right (opposite the Town Hall Gates)

East West. Get off the train at Warrington Central.
If you feel like walking it is ½ - ¾ of a mile – turn left outside the station and walk straight up Winwick Street onto the pedestrianised area (Horsemarket Street) as far as Market Gate (a crossroads with a fountain in the middle. Turn right into Sankey Street and keep straight on, crossing three side streets (on your left). The Gateway is at the corner of Springfield Street and the entrance is on Sankey Street opposite the Town Hall gates. There is a taxi rank outside the station. If the driver isn’t sure where the Gateway is, say it is opposite the Town Hall.

By Bus
From the West a number of services (6, 6A, 13, 14, 15, 16, 16A, 18, 18A, 20A, 29, 30, 30B, 31, 31A, 32, 33, 33A, 110, 340, H5) set down at the Town Hall gates. The Gateway is just opposite.

From other directions get off at the bus station and walk up Horsemarket Street following the directions for rail passengers (East West) as above.

By Car
Be warned – Multi Storey car parking is available at the Golden Square Shopping Centre.  Access is sign posted and is available  off Leigh Street and from Midland Way. Those with blue badges can park on double yellow lines opposite the Gateway and disabled parking spaces on Winmarleigh Street.

From Chester exit the M56 at junction 11 and follow the A56 to the town centre.

From Liverpool exit the M62 at junction 9 and follow the A49 to the town centre.

From the North exit the M6 at junction 22 and follow the A49 to the town centre.

From the South and South East exit the M6 at junction 21 and follow the A57 to the town centre.
